Rebellion

[edit]

Something better than rebel should be used here. I wouldn't call this uprising a rebellion per se. But I don't have a better alternative, because insurgent just doesn't cut it, nor "freedom fighters" either. Any suggestions? Dr. Dan 15:10, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why? What's wrong with rebel? Renata 15:22, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Name

[edit]

I believe the name of the page should be the original Herkus Mantas and not Hercus Monte, a germanized version of the true name. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.155.160.200 (talk) 12:10, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And Herkus Mantas is Lithuaniazed version.... Renata (talk) 15:05, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I believe that even lithuanized version is not quite correct, because this name has survived, because of german source. At least in the works of latvian historian O. T. Auns he is called by name Erkus Mants. I'm surprised that even lithuanians use eventually germanized name with letter 'H', as prior to germans there were no sound of 'H' in baltic languages... and even so, without 'H' this name looks like really germanized.--svg 03:18, 4 March 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by St. LongEar (talkcontribs)
