Copyright on photos question
[edit]The photos added by an IP recently are from Chauvel's novel, which is based on his screenplay and written to accompany the film. They are therefore from about 1935, but I have never seen them used anywhere else before... and have an uneasy feeling about copyright. So Im looking for some reassurance!Nickm57 (talk) 05:37, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
- I wasn't the person who added these images, but the book Heritage / by Charles Chauvel ; illustrated with scenes from the picture produced by Expeditionary Films (1933) was definitely published in Australia in 1935, according to its entry in the National Library of Australia catalogue. If the images do indeed appear in that book (I don't have a copy to check) then they've entered the public domain in Australia. Ackatsis (talk) 13:33, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
