Article title

[edit]

I consider simply titling the article Hereford Crematorium does not do justice, as the cemetery was in existence nearly 100 years before the crematorium and it is in acreage more extensive I believe (from having myself visited both places NLT 1999) than the grounds of the crematorium. I would say retitle the article with the title that starts the intro line, Hereford Cemetery and Crematorium.Cloptonson (talk) 21:04, 25 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notable interments or cremations

[edit]

I am kicking off with George Robertson Sinclair, organist of Hereford Cathedral (and friend of Edward Elgar), whose gravestone I have seen in the cemetery. I will see if there is a published reference to his burial. After checking I found he is not listed in the ODNB. Cloptonson (talk) 21:07, 25 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The name William Henry Knight wikilinks with a portrait and genre painter of the same name who lived 1823-1863. Although the life dates fit the latter's article makes no reference to the cemeteries or any architectural work. Victorian architects usually had a working background with building trades, none of which is indicated in his artice. I might say to the user who wikilinked the name 'Are you sure it's him?'Cloptonson (talk) 06:25, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
