There is some ambiguity as to whether Blomstedt's title with the Swedish Radio Symphony is "Conductor Laureate" (as in the heading on that orchestra's English-language page discussing such) or "Honorary Conductor" (as cited in the text lower on the same page). There is also confusion as to where he studied with Markevitch: AllMusic and others say Paris, CAMI's biography says Salzburg. Matthew Vaughan (talk) 20:49, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Did he never study an instrument?

The article says nothing about this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.95.43.249 (talk) 19:43, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

According to the Finnish TV interview "Korokkeella Herbert Blomstedt" ("On the Podium: HB"), he studied the violin and played in a string quartet. Also, he didn't move to Sweden when aged two, but to Helsinki, Finland, and moved to Gothenburg with his family only when he was about nine years old. 88.192.81.65 (talk) 08:59, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
