GA review – see WP:WIAGA for criteria

  1. Is it well written?
    A. The prose is clear and concise, and the spelling and grammar are correct:
    B. It complies with the manual of style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation:
  2. Is it verifiable with no original research?
    A. It contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline:
    B. All in-line citations are from reliable sources, including those for direct quotations, statistics, published opinion, counter-intuitive or controversial statements that are challenged or likely to be challenged, and contentious material relating to living persons—science-based articles should follow the scientific citation guidelines:
    1. Checked Sources 9, 10, 11 are Find A Grave and not considered a reliable source by Wikipedia.
    2. Checked Source 39, Wordpress is a blog and not considered a reliable source by Wikipedia.
    C. It contains no original research:
    D. It contains no copyright violations nor plagiarism:
    1. AGF on all offline sourcing. I ran Duplication Detector on each online sourcing and found no issues. I also read each source as I went through, and found no issues. It should be noted for future reference that the Earwig tool performed very poorly for this article, returning a false reading of a high rate of probability of copyvio. When reading the detail, the Earwig tool was citing the Bibliography titles only as the copyvios.
  3. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. It addresses the main aspects of the topic:
    B. It stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style):
    1. Checked Under political career, you have him as the Senate's President Pro Tempore, while the Source 18 lists him as President of the State Senate during that time period, which are two different positions.
  4. Is it neutral?
It represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each:
  5. Is it stable?
It does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute:
  6. Is it illustrated, if possible, by images?
    A. Images are tagged with their copyright status, and valid fair use rationales are provided for non-free content:
    1. PD - Henry Wilson, VP of the United States.jpg - Library of Congress image dated between 1860 and 1875, no known restrictions on use
    2. PD - Henry Wilson shoeshop, construction 1835, documentation compiled by Historic American Buildings Survey after 1933; government photo with no known restrictions
    3. PD - Henry Wilson's Natick home, on Commons as A gazetteer of the state of Massachusetts - with numerous illustrations (1890)
    4. PD - Abolitionist and Free Soil Party leaders, published 1866
    5. PD - U.S. Senator Henry Wilson, photograph by Mathew Brady

    7. PD - Senator William M. Gwin, Matthew Brady image

    19. Henry Wilson Grave, no real artwork involved, released for use as Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International
    20. Checked Henry Wilson by Nahum Ball Onthank, Painting circa 1875. Kind of a tilted off-center photo of this. Can we get a better one? Photograph rights possibly covered by Commons FOP United States public artwork installed before 1923 is considered to be public domain, and can be photographed freely. But to make sure, I've left a message at Commons:Village pump/Copyright Commons has answered the image is PD, just not PD-Art. I still recommend a better image than this for GA. — Maile (talk) 15:10, 16 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
    21. Checked Kalakaua Grant state visit 1874 - Source not found when clicking on link provided at Commons

This all looks good to me, Billmckern. You took care of all the issues listed, including the image issues. I'm very happy to pass this nomination. Good luck if you decide to also list it at DYK and/or FA. — Maile (talk) 19:21, 17 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
