Theologically correct ending? Suggestion
[edit]I have always had some trouble with this poem as it seems psuedo-Christian, with an ending that gives hope for no apparent reason. Whilst searching for the text of this poem for a funeral, I discovered two versions: the popular one cited most often and included here, and a version on poemhunter.com with a different ending that makes more theological sense:
- All is well.
- Nothing is past; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before only better, infinitely happier and forever we will all be one together with Christ.

Does anyone have a historical published source from which to check which version is the original? If indeed the version above is original, this should either be used in this article, or at least the differences highlighted, as it clearly has a bearing on Scott-Holland's theology.
