Canterbury, New Zealand connection
[edit]Perhaps of note, from this source "The earl was a foundation member of the Canterbury Association in 1848 and from 1851 a member of the management committee. In addition he was Godley’s friend and patron." Apparently Lincoln Road (a major road), and Lincoln were named for him, and there's also Lincoln University. Oh and a very good source of information here under his entry starting on page 66.Number36 (talk) 05:01, 23 May 2012 (UTC)
