Clean up

[edit]

I cleaned up the article a bit. I will rank this a "start" article. However, I noticed from the article's editing history that new editors had removed references to his whites-only constituency work, and his later volunteer work for the Episcopal Church. Why? Can we find sources and edit the information back in? Bearian (talk) 15:33, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The chronology is a bit off (his recognition of AFSCME comes before the strike account). I'll try to help. (Full disclosure: he once came into my home town to raise funds for Ray Bodiford, against whom I was running for the Tennessee General Assembly; and I ran a radio ad that didn't say nice things about him.) --Orange Mike | Talk 21:19, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
