[edit]I am hoping someone can confirm for me that this pair of claims in the article is accurate, as it strikes me as HIGHLY improbable :
"Dr. Henry Chang-Yu Lee (Chinese: 李昌鈺, pinyin: Lǐ Chāngyù) (born November 22, 1938)" + "He graduated in 1960 from the Taiwan Central Police College with a degree in Police Science. Lee then began his work with the Taipei Police Department, where he rose to the rank of captain at age 22, the youngest in Chinese history.
So he was born in 1938 and graduated in 1960, at the age of 22. In 1960, at 22, he began to work with the Taipei Police Department, and he managed to rise to the rank of Captain before even ONE year had elapsed ? That just seems impossible. I suppose that his department might start all graduates of the Police College at the rank of Captain, but in that case, he could not have been the youngest captain in Chinese history (unless he was also the only graduate of the college). Is his family important/connected ? Anyway, either a correction, explanation or citation is needed. -->merc
- Since those events did not take place in the United States, a "captain" of the force in China could be slightly different than what Americans colloquially refer to. Rock8591 (talk) 18:12, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

"footprint" in cement at Simpson murder scene?
[edit]The article mentions that Lee was consulted on the O. J. Simpson case. Therefore, it should also mention that Lee falsely identified a "footprint" which was actually just a ripple in the cement. For anybody who follows the news, that's the thing this guy is most famous for - being an incompetent fraud. Ray Eston Smith Jr (talk) 17:42, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

- Agreed. The OJ Simpson case stands out in that regard as well. According to RS (i.e. Vince Buglosi's 'Outrage...' to name one), his testimony was incorrect. Rja13ww33 (talk) 00:39, 23 July 2023 (UTC)
