GA review (see here for criteria) (see here for this contributor's history of GA reviews)
  1. It is reasonably well written:
    Not Yet
    1. There are more links that can be added, I see many in the lead alone (frigate, shipwreck, and Atlantic to name a few) I would recommend removing the redlinks not likely to be created soon and replacing them with other links - I know what a frigate is, for example, but the average person may not.
I've added the links you have suggested and one or two others, are there any others you think are necessary?--Jackyd101 (talk) 08:02, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Just to add, the redlinks are almost all ships or men who will eventually have articles. The Raid on Dunkirk is an engagement I will personally be addressing in the near future.--Jackyd101 (talk) 08:04, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    1. Is there any info at all about what he did from 1783-1790 while unemployed?
I haven't located any. Given his ill-health, he probably subsided on his half-pay while living with his family, but I can't source it.--Jackyd101 (talk) 08:02, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    1. Is there an exact cause of death for him?
Nothing specific. Its not unusual for the cause of death to be uncertain for naval officers in the early nineteenth century - a sudden fever or undiagnosed malaria or any number of other ailements could have been responsible.--Jackyd101 (talk) 08:02, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  1. It is factually accurate and verifiable:
Pass Meets the minimum GA Criterion for referencing as far as I can tell, though I would highly suggest adding more references to dates and such before promoting any more, that's just me.
  2. It is broad in its coverage:
    Pass No problems there.
  3. It follows the neutral point of view policy:
    Pass No problems there.
  4. It is stable:
    Pass No problems there.
  5. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate:
    Weak Pass
    1. Are there any images that can be added? Im sure a pic of a ship, a painting of a battle, or one of the locations discussed could be added. It would help break up the blocks of text.
I have added a chart of the Battle of Copenhagen that depicts the location of Inman's ship during the battle.--Jackyd101 (talk) 08:02, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  1. Overall:
On Hold while a few minor details are addressed. —Ed!(talk) 02:28, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thankyou very much for the review. I've done my best to address your points and please let me know if there is anything else to attend to. Regards--Jackyd101 (talk) 08:02, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
OK then, I think they have been addressed to my satisfaction. The article now meets the GA criteria, according to my interpretation of them. —Ed!(talk) 23:15, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thankyou very much for the review.--Jackyd101 (talk) 23:40, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
