Medals
[edit]Coaches don't get Olympic medals. I'm removing the medal template because it is misleading.
You dont just remove stuff like this. You need to have a consensus to get it removed. Everyone knows coaches dont get medels it just shows what the team he coached got and it does say he coached the team not played on it. Theworm777 (talk) 20:00, 6 April 2013 (UTC)

[edit]I would like to note that the Maryville College that Henry Iba coached at was located in Missouri, not in Tennessee as the link on this page indicates. On the website for the basketball hall of fame, they list the school as Maryville (MO) College. (http://www.hoophall.com/halloffamers/Iba.htm) Today the school is known as Northwest Missouri State University.
I won't make any changes to the page, but I question the listing of John Wooden and Adolf Rupp as part of Henry Iba's coaching tree. Wooden had no particular association with Iba and Rupp played college basketball at the University of Kansas under Phog Allen -- one of Iba's main rivals. The list is impressive enough as it is. There is no need to inaccurately inflate it.
We need to change the Rupp association. Mr. Rupp went from Kansas under Allen (and Naismith was still involved on those 22-23 teams) to Kentucky and never served under Iba or at A&M. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dbed153 (talk • contribs) 15:26, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
