[edit]Henriettea Ellery Sedgwick was the daughter of Robert Sedgwick (Henry Dwight Sedgwick I's brother) and Elizabeth Dana Ellery (daughter of William Ellery and Abigail (Shaw) Ellery). Thus Henry Dwight Sedgwick II married his 1st cousin, another Sedgwick. William Ellery's fame comes from this gutsy, successful merchant signing the "Declaration of Independence".
Slight "genealogical" problem: Article says Henry Dwight III, who was born in 1861, is son of Henry Dwight II who died in 1831. They did not freeze sperm in those days.Milesnfowler (talk) 23:56, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
