"squad" totally baffling

[edit]

I have read the section entitled "squad" several times and I have no idea what message is being conveyed. Was Crown a crook? A reformed crook? Were his children powerful and kept him out of trouble? Jnmwiki (talk) 01:30, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Do not rely on the NYT.

" ..at the age of 19, he and his older brother founded the S. R. Crown & Company, a steel broker. Sol later died of tuberculosis and in 1919, his brother Irving joined him."

Irving apparently joined Henry in the steel business. Irving did not join Sol in the dying from tuberculosis business. Perhaps the Grey Lady should be removed from the "reliable source" list. AnnaComnemna (talk) 00:11, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Henry Crown

[edit]

Involvement with General Dynamics is suspicious at best. Much more should be said about this man, but first a thorough, objective biography needs to be written. We should not accept at face value his alleged philanthropy without understanding. 2600:1700:5640:FEA0:80E9:B5D0:394:3DED (talk) 04:22, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
