The page required a cleanup. I have read relatively convincing comments against Gerlach's claims, e.g.

Agree!! Those Gerlach's claims do not provide any proof and can surely considered nonsense. Anyone out there rejecting the delete of
“Recent research, notably by Christian Gerlach of the University of Pittsburg, claims that Tresckow signed orders contributing to civilian killings by Wehrmacht troops and leading to the relocation of homeless Russian children to Nazi factories, where they faced certain death.”
should speak out as soon as possible! --AuthorDionysos 16:51, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- This link also expresses doubt on Gerlach's claim. Olessi 03:13, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
War Crimes
[edit]He was also implicated in the mass murders of the Holocaust according to War of Extermination: The German Military in World War II, 1941-1944, By Hannes Heer, Klaus Naumann, Roy Shelton, Translated by Roy Shelton, Edition: illustrated Published by Berghahn Books, 2000, ISBN 1571812326, 9781571812322 preview available online here[1]
He wasen't. In the Archives of the Red Army were found currently documents about Tresckow, provided by Major Kuhn how run after the plots failure to the Russians. Does documents/protocols are showing that the holocaust was one of the principal motivations of Tresckow. Its said that the best fighter of de french "Resistance" during WW2 was shot by his commerades cause they thougt that he was a collaborateur. But beeing a collaborateur was just the face he showed to the Germans in order to do what he did and not to rise suspicion among them. And that is the reason why one should be very carfuly with such declaration how no living Person can/did prove. In Tresckows Biographie is written that he wrote in his rapports to the High Command (Oberkommando der Wehrmacht) about a lot of enemy activity were there was none. So he could remove his men in strategically better positions without getting shot cause of Hitler's interdiction for retreat. It's strongly possible that this practice also was used in cses concerning war crimes orderd by Hitler. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.109.163.249 (talk) 20:16, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
Redundancy
[edit]At the beginning of the article it says 'Major General Herrmann Karl Robert Henning von Tresckow (January 10, 1901 – July 21, 1944) was a Major General...' Stating that Tresckow was a Major General twice is rather redundant isn't it? I think we should change it to something like 'Herrmann Karl Robert Henning von Tresckow was a Major General...' Does anyone agree?--Martin (talk) 03:18, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- Except that he wasn't a Major General.... __209.179.86.123 (talk) 21:08, 20 January 2016 (UTC)
Milhist B-class assessment
[edit]C-class only because article lacks a couple of citations in the "Plots against Hitler" section. Otherwise it would be a good B-class. Zawed (talk) 10:48, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
Heu Aktion
[edit]I requested citations for some claims that he didn't agree with it. Also restored information that it was part of genocide. --MyMoloboaccount (talk) 12:16, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
Use of Fest 1997 as source
[edit]'Fest 1997' is cited extensively, but the complete name is not included in the reference/bibliography section. Am I missing something? --K.e.coffman (talk) 19:33, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

1st Guards Infantry Regiment
[edit]I'm awfully confused by the inclusion of the 1st Guards Infantry Regiment as, so far as I can tell, Tresckow was a part of it and it's successor the Infantry Regiment 9 Potsdam, he was never in command of either.
