I have removed the assertion that Hembury 'is thought to be the capital of the Dumnonii' since this has no basis. The 'Civitas' of the Dumnonii was Exeter, and the site of the tribal oppida predating the Roman Invasion is unknown, if indeed there was one, as such. Hembury has more in common with the Hill Forts of the Durotriges than the Dumnonii anyway and it may well be more likely that Hembury, Dumpdon, Blackberry and Sidbury marked their Western boundary.
