It is perhaps worth noting that Help Me is a unique blues song. The original is in F minor (12-bar blues in minor keys are rather uncommon, and Fm is definitely not a blues guitarist's first choice for a key), over which Sonny Boy played a Bb harmonica in the standard "cross-harp" blues style. Also, an organ is used to play the main accompaniment, another rather unusual deployment in the blues of his time.
Help Me is listed in Wikipedia as written by Willie Dixon, but in The Essential Sonny Boy Williamson the writer's credits go to "R. Bass/S.B. Williamson". Other songs written by Dixon on the same set are clearly ascribed to him, so I'm not sure if R. Bass is a pseudonym for Willie or if it's really someone else.
Sonny Boy's solos in the piece are excellent examples of his style.98.30.49.10 (talk) 12:23, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
