start up year?
[edit]Was it really 1996 they started in? I'd only heard about it last year. Scott Gall 10:18, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
Hell Pizza - Owner of 1 Soul
[edit]Hell Pizza Is the BEST!!!!!! Hell Pizza bought a soul. Might want to include in article. http://edition.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/asiapcf/07/03/nzealand.soul.ap/index.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gardevior (talk • contribs) 11:39, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
Phone number in Australia
[edit]When Hell opens in Australia, their number would probably be 1800-666-111 (reflecting the company's origins in New Zealand) or 1800-666-000 (reflecting that the store is in Australia, not New Zealand.) Scott Gall 21:50, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

$10,000 to the KidsCan Charitable Trust now paid
[edit]On 14 August 2011, the Hell Pizza Facebook page stated "We can confirm that we have now contributed $10,000 to the KidsCan Charitable Trust." - KidsCan Update Hell Pizza Facebook page, "HELL regularly makes major contributions to local and national causes. One of the most recent was a donation of more than $175,000 to the Canterbury earthquake recovery/" -
It seems there are a few sources/blogs/facebook now reporting these details - at present I didn't find a reliable enough source to add it to the article - perhaps NZ editors can find one to update the article. - Youreallycan 13:01, 10 April 2012 (UTC)
Facebook sourcing
[edit]"Hell Pizza" uses Facebook as an official outlet - there is no doubt that information on that account is self-published, but using it in this article appears needed to prevent readers gaining a false impression that the company still owes money to KidsCan (which also uses Facebook). Our first obligation is not to mislead Wikipedia readers. Collect (talk) 13:16, 10 April 2012 (UTC)
- But Hell Pizza can publish anything they want on their Facebook page. It's not reliable. Binksternet (talk) 15:49, 10 April 2012 (UTC)
- It is reliable for what they say about their own acts, and ascribed as such, which is what it is used for.
- You're pitting a Facebook page against a newspaper report. There is nothing Wikipedia can do to determine whether or not Hell Pizza actually paid the charity $10k by using Facebook as a reference. The Hell Pizza editor's wish to tell the reader the truth is admirable but the possibility that Hell Pizza is not telling the truth on their Facebook page is the spanner in the works. The root of the problem is that Hell Pizza can say anything they want on Facebook whereas a newspaper reporter must answer to neutrality and his editor. Binksternet (talk) 02:36, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
- And as long as the material is properly ascribed as what Hell Pizza says about itself, it is properly used. And the date of the Facebook entry is well after the newspaper account, thus does not contradict the newspaper account. Cheers. Collect (talk) 02:45, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

Too much like an ad
[edit]This article sounds a lot like a series of press releases - maybe because of the focus on marketing.
I've made a start on cleaning it up but it probably needs more work. A bit more evidence of/focus on notability wouldn't hurt CoronaryKea (talk) 10:34, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
