Several direct quotes from HWB used in The Art of Political Leadership: Essays in Honor of Fred I. Greenstein originate from the collected papers (in Library of Congress) of Woodrow Wilson's biographer Ray Stannard Baker. To quote the citation, which may be useful to anybody else who wants to follow up on this resource: "Helen Bones to Ray Standard Baker, July 2, 1925. Baker Papers, Series 1B, Box 102, Helen Bones folder." Because of her longtime connection with Wilson, Bones was also a consultant on the film Wilson together with his daughter Margaret. The National First Ladies Library is "an educational and resource facility" devoted to the history of US First Ladies."[1] Among its earliest activities was raising "$100,000 to hire historian Carl Sferrazza Anthony to amass a 40,000-entry bibliography of works related to the first ladies."[2] I believe that the publications of this research facility, including its website, would be WP:RS for history related to US First Ladies, including some who filled in that position temporarily such as Helen Woodrow Bones.
According to the Library of Congress, "The website for the National First Ladies Library contains information on the lives and work of the wives of the presidents of the United States. The site includes a biography of each of the First Ladies, bibliographic lists of biographies and articles about the First Ladies, and listings of their own publications."[3]HouseOfChange (talk) 16:09, 12 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
