First Black Woman to Earn PhD at Ohio State

Just to let everyone here know that recent research undertaken by the Department of History has determined that Edmonds does not hold this distinction. The woman's name is Alethea Hebron Washington who graduated with her PhD from the College of Education in 1925. I will post a formalized link to this research in the near future. According to this document, Alethea Hebron Washington who graduated with her M.A., not PhD (p. 11 (orig. 213))--Nicoljaus (talk) 15:17, 19 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
