[edit]In 1815, German composer and theatre director Gottlob Benedict Bierey published a favorable report of a horn able to play an even full chromatic scale throughout the register using Stölzel's invention.[1] A diagram of Christian Friedrich Sattler's chromatic trumpet using double piston valves was published in June 1821.[2] In 1827, a diagram of Blühmel's 1828 valve patent was published in Revue Musicale.[3]
