I am confused by the statement that Heid is generally assumed to be another name for Gullveig. In my Master degree courses on Norse Philology it was mentioned that some had made such assumptions, but that it was just one of many theories which all had too little coverage to be called more than speculation (as is the case with much of the theories on the Norse mythology due to the very limited 'original' literature available today). Naturally, I'd like to more than one reference link at this point to justify the use of the term 'generally'. If it is generally assumed above other theories, there should be enough serious research literature on the subject.
