Not "Hoosiers"
[edit]For the record, "Hoosiers" was not inspired by the 1952 Hebron basketball team, as the article stated before I edited it.
The screenwriter, Angelo Pizzo, grew up in Bloomington, Indiana, and needed to look no further than Indiana's own 1954 Milan team for his inspiration. The director was David Anspaugh, also a native Hoosier, who was Pizzo's fraternity brother at Indiana University. Milan's story is as famous in Indiana as Hebron's is in Illinois.
There's no need to embellish the Hebron story by falsely associating it with "Hoosiers". It has stood the test of time in Illinois, even without a movie. Biggleston (talk) 04:07, 21 March 2016 (UTC)
