Personal life

[edit]

Someone ought to add some info about her marriage to producer Felix Tod, & potentially her activism in Bermuda. Here's one potential source: https://www.rosewoodhotels.com/conversations/curators-heather-nova/#:~:text=Today%2C%20Heather%20lives%20with%20her,family%20lived%20300%20years%20ago. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LegalTech (talkcontribs) 15:22, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Name change (Frith -> Nova)

[edit]

Someone has anonymously made the following change:

<<The name change came a year or so later, when she chose a name that would be easily pronounceable in every European language, "Nova".>>

to

<<The name change came a year or so later, in an effort to create a name with more buzz.>>

I have never seen any reference to the name change having to do with buzz, while Heather Nova has expressed in interviews that she changed her name because people in certain European countries had trouble pronouncing it. This edit seems like unreferenced speculation and I propose reverting to the previous wording.

"Gloomy Sunday"

[edit]

In what sense is the song "Gloomy Sunday" "traditional"? It was written by László Jávor, a professional poet, and set to music by Rezső Seress, a professional composer. It was a very successful commercial song from the outset; I would think it qualifies as a jazz standard, but certainly not as a traditional song. - Jmabel | Talk 06:34, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Career

[edit]

In the career section it mentions that during a tour Heather "became eight months pregnant". This seems like bizarre wording. You don't become eight months pregnant, you have to start at the beginning, and eight months later you get there. I'm not sure if it means that she was eight months pregnant during the tour, or that she became pregnant during the tour, so have not made a change, but I suggest someone who knows the facts should amend this bit!

A good start, but many unverified facts here - supporting citation and references needed. Edofedinburgh 02:12, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dawson's Creek Soundtrack

[edit]

No mention of the Dawson's Creek Soundtrack[1] is made despite London Rain achieving a lot of success through it.
