This article meets the following criteria for notability:
Non-commercial organizations
Organizations are usually notable if they meet both of the following standards:
1. The scope of their activities is national or international in scale.
2. The organization has received significant coverage in multiple reliable sources that are independent of the organization.
There exist several reports of the meeting series in the newsletter of the International Union of Crystallography or the publication "Mitteilungen" of the German Crystallographic Association. These organisations (scientific societies) are independent of the organizers of the HEC-meeting.
Many similar pages on scientific conferences exist in wikipedia:
International Conference on the Physics of Semiconductors
International Conference on Machine Learning
APRICOT
International Conference on Functional Programming
Conference on Automated Deduction
International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence
Conference on Neural Information Processing Systems
International conference on Physics of Light–Matter Coupling in Nanostructures
European Conference on Digital Libraries
Conference on College Composition and Communication
...
Searching for "Conference on" or "Meeting on" in wikipedia, one can find hundreds of pages of conferences, to a great part without any references from outside sources.
