needs some work..

[edit]

"...as he became inspired by stories about his clients..." nowhere in the article does it say who became inspired. is the reader to assume the owner's name listed in the infobox is the same person who became inspired? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.244.83.132 (talk) 00:10, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I find it extremely irritating that people assume it's the lard and the beef that is harmful at a place like this. It is the bread, the beer, the sugary drinks, and the lack of portion control that are the culprit. We aren't in the 90s anymore, animal fat is good for you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.185.255.210 (talk) 05:41, 11 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

yes, but consuming massive quantities of highly processed animal fat exposed to high temperatures pretty much renders this irrelevant. a teaspoon of pure sugar is better for you than a pound of lard.76.232.11.28 (talk) 03:43, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Calories

[edit]

This is one of the very few pages on WP using capital C Calories for the kilogram calorie to distinguish them from gram calories. The vast majority of pages which use the large calorie just call it a calorie (as did this one until about ten months ago) as per normal use in the real world. I have suggested that unless we follow this convention consistently, we're better off not following it at all. I suggest we go back either to calories (which was here originally) or to kilocalories (which were also used here for a time). Note that I have proposed to have convert adjusted. if this proposal goes through such that the code Cal will give lower-case calories (still the large calorie though) and Calorie will continue to give upper-case Calories (until there is a decision at MOSNUM). I'm going to edit the article so that the capitalisation will remain in the case that my proposal is adopted. Note, however, if consensus at MOSNUM is to depreciate capitalisation, convert will be adjusted again such that neither Cal nor Calorie will give Calorie. Interference by Subject?

[edit]

I noticed someone with the moniker "HAGVegas" has edited the article to remove publicly reported information about apparent business difficulties at a prior location. I am wondering if "HAGVegas" can be assumed to be someone from the company, and if the edit conflicts with NPOV? I can't make the judgment myself to revert, as I originally entered the information that was removed and obviously think it relevant. Someone else weigh in. --Markzero (talk) 16:06, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing that out. I restored the conflict of interest text that was removed by that user and put a warning on that user's talk page. Since there have been no other contributions since then and it was some months ago, it is not suitable for engaging administrators for blocking, though that is what happened when User:Heart Attack Grill edited this page. -- ke4roh (talk) 01:07, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Section blanking

[edit]

A section about the landlord locking out the same guy who owns the Las Vegas place from the Dallas place has disappeared twice now, most recently with this edit: [1]. I suspect the contributor is the proprietor himself, but have nothing but a geolocate putting the IP in the area as evidence. I'll not carry on an edit war, but I put the information here so that it might eventually get resolved appropriately.

According to a blog entry in the Dallas Morning News, as of October 12, 2011, the locks at the West End location were changed due to nonpayment of rent. Additionally, food critic Scott Reitz of the Dallas Observer reported being unable to reach the manager by phone and that the restaurant's official website had been "scrubbed of any Dallas location information. There is also a location of the restaurant in Los Angeles, California."

over 8000 kcals in 910 g?

[edit]

How we can see fats (butter/oil/lard) [food energy|have the largest energy density] - 9 kcal/g. How come that burger has 8000/910 = 8.79 kcal/g? Is it a pure fat? --Evgeny.V.Orlov (talk) 12:31, 6 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That's 910 grams of beef in the triple bypass burger. There's still a huge amount of other stuff, including bacon, cheese and lard.--Larry (talk) 16:05, 6 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Oops - make that QUADRUPLE.--Larry (talk) 17:30, 6 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about the format, i never usually visit this page or edit. But it's simply impossible for the The Quadruple Bypass Burger to include anywhere near 8000 kcal. This is a list of every ingredient in the burger and my estimation of the kcal content... Making up for a total of 2565 kcal.

Freshly baked bun 200 kcal Crisp chopped lettuce 20 kcal Beefsteak tomatoss 5 kcal Juicy bacon 50 kcal Gourmet red onion 10 kcal Fresh cheddar cheese 50 kcal 1/2 pound beef 400 kcal Another red onion 10 kcal More cheese 50 kcal Another 1/2 pound patty 400 kcal Another red onion 10 kcal More cheese 50 kcal Another 1/2 pound patty 400 kcal More bacon 50 kcal Another red onion 10 kcal More cheese 50 kcal Another 1/2 pound patty 400 kcal Gourmet sauce 200 kcal Freshly baked bun 200 kcal

Reception section

[edit]

Why does the reception section talk about the controversy related to sexualization of nurses, but not the fact that it is causing people who eat there to have health problems and may have lead to some deaths? 71.127.149.106 (talk) 15:27, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
