New Edits
[edit]Very good job editing this page and increasing the content on this page about the Healthcare in Malawi. I enjoyed reading about the government efforts and goals to improve the healthcare system. I have a few suggestions on how to continue editing and improving this page. First, please check the neutrality of your arguments and claims. Second, please check the punctuation and grammar of the sections. Last, it would be helpful to link a "see also" page and additional blue links throughout the article. I hope this helps, and I look forward to seeing how this article grows and improves in the future! Good luck, AllyBremer (talk) 00:47, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
Comments and Suggestions
[edit]Brookeethleen, Great contributions to this article! I have a few suggestions for improvement:
- In the section of Reception of global health initiative funds, I think more clarification is needed to explain how funds affect healthcare, as it’s a bit confusing to understand how funds influence what type of workers are involved in healthcare.
- As for the Malaria Intervention section, if there is more information of how other methods have helped prevent malaria, it would be good information to include.
Other than that, great work! JOzuna25 (talk) 03:54, 7 November 2013 (UTC)JOzuna25 (talk)
This is a great article that provides a lot of meaningful information about healthcare system in Malawi. To improve the page, I believe that information about mortality and poverty are generalized for the country and more information can provide a deeper insight into the complexity of the social challenges the country is facing. I believe that some of the statistics could be more up-to-date including the main causes of death. Another insightful look into healthcare in Malawi can be statistics for different gender and age populations. Facts and factors of health for men, women, children and babies would be beneficial when understanding the complexity of the situation. This could also be compared to urban and rural statistics. Infant mortality in Malawi is also serious challenge facing the healthcare system; therefore, I think that adding a section about infant mortality would benefit the page. In additional, more recent updates about initiatives that have increased access to health care and quality of life would provide more of a holistic approach of health care in Malawi. The most relevant information in this category is from 2004 and a significant amount of public health initiatives have been pursued including university partnerships, government action and United Nation support. TA Comments
[edit]Hi Brookeethleen! Great work on the article - you've added a lot of information on an important topic. In the Financing section, what do you mean by "external resources"? Explain that in the article. I also would suggest double-checking your spelling and grammar, especially subject-verb agreement, and adding more blue links for things like healthcare terms or people's names. You should italicize all book titles too.
Best of luck on the article! Let me know if you have any questions! Nadhika99 (talk) 01:56, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
