Human Development Indicators for Eritrea

- 2.4% Persons living with HIV, adults (%)
- 18,000 Orphans due to HIV and AIDS
- 50% Access to affordable essential drugs (%)
- 3,479 Malaria cases (per 100,000)
- 9% Population with access to improved sanitation (%)
- 515 TB cases (per 100,000)
- 78 Under-five mortality rate (per 1,000 live births)
- 58.6 Life expectancy at birth (years)
- 35.3 Combined primary, secondary and tertiary gross enrolment ratio (%)
- 40% People without access to an improve water source (%)
- 40% Children underweight for age(% of ages between 0-5)
- 56.7% Adult literacy rate(% of ages 15 and older)
