Add section about Biopsychosocial health assessments
[edit]I am hoping to add a section about biopsychosocial health assessments for youth behavioural health. For instance, the digital HEADSS assessment is used in schools and clinics to help screen for mental health issues in youth and direct them to the counseling services they need. Can we publish this? (Blurb below)
Biopsychosocial health assessments
Health assessments that take into account biopsychosocial factors are becoming increasingly popular in doctor’s clinics and hospitals. These comprehensive assessments consider health in relation to biological factors, psychological issues, and the patient’s social context. One example is the HEADSS assessment, which screens patients for six risk factors: Home, Education/Employment, Activities, Sex, and Suicide.[1] The digital HEADSS assessment is clinically proven to help clinicians conduct health assessments that identify patient needs.[2]
