Proposed merger with main Hazara (region) article
[edit]I dont see why this little stub has to exist by itself needlessly duplicating information that sghould rightly be placed under the 'Hazara region' main article? I would please propose a merger of this stub therein. Thanks 39.54.144.43 (talk) 14:50, 25 March 2012 (UTC)Prof Asad U Khwaja
- The idea for a merge had been floated in 2008 as well, then a merge was performed in 2016 [1] [2]. The pages got split again today [3] [4]. The main consideration for the merge (the article size at the time) is not applicable anymore.
- The articles should be kept separate because they're on two very different topics: one is a historic region with a stable existence that is differentiated on the basis of cultural, ethnic and linguistic differences from its surroundings. The other article is about an administrative division whose extent has varied greatly over time. Currently, it occupies an area that's about twice the size of the cultural region (the correspondence between the two will get much closer after the split of the new Abaseen Division, but it still won't be complete, and the there's nothing guaranteeing that the division won't change boundaries again). – Uanfala (talk) 12:27, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
