I resurrected the entry for the town, though it had been deleted and some of its information has been added to the Township's entry. I think that people should be able to search for and find an independent entry for Hawkesville. Many thousands have called it home and can appreciate the information included. - For the record, that isn't the standard by which we decide whether a topic gets an independent article or a redirect to another topic. This isn't badly written, certainly, but it's written in the style of a tourist marketing campaign, not an encyclopedia article — for example, an encyclopedia article shouldn't contain sentences like "To the south, the tall hills beyond the river plain shelters a large gravel pit and in the skies over the hills, the river, the village and the woods, are sure to be found the beautiful Red-tailed Hawk and the common sightings of Cardinals, Blue Jays, Robins, Chickadees, Nuthatch, and numerous Song Sparrow." or "The streets are quiet but for the likelihood of a gathering of boys participating in street hockey." It's only minimally referenced, and appears to contain significant amounts of original research. The external links section was turning into a community web directory, which fails what Wikipedia is not. This is nicely written, but it reads like it's on the website of the township's tourism office, not in an encyclopedia. That's why it was originally redirected: only a portion of this article as currently written meets the demands of what belongs in an encyclopedia. Bearcat (talk) 02:30, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
