I hadn't. There's only one, pretty brief mention in The New Georgia Encyclopedia at https://www.georgiaencyclopedia.org/articles/counties-cities-neighborhoods/polk-county . There might be more looking into the links at the articles linked here. There are several potentially interesting things that show up in a Google search, but it might take a few hours to find the most interesting ones.
