The "Adam Leonard" link in the "Future NFL Draft prospects" section links to an English musician. I'd fix it but I have no idea how to about doing so being that the player in reference doesn't have an article.Barak181 04:30, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"As of now (2006) Boise State has become the Warriors' biggest rival. Although the Warriors' have not shown that they can beat the Broncos, this is a rivalry that will get much bigger in the coming years as both teams have become more prominant in the national spotlight."

I agree with this 100%, but it sounds too much like an opinion to be in an encyclopedia. RealFerrari 09:17, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hawaii Travel Back and Forth to the States ??

[edit]

Does Hawaii have to travel back and forth from Hawaii to the united states everytime they play or do they just stay in the states and do school by correspondance?? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rsdetsch (talkcontribs) 15:53, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just to clarify Hawaii is part of the United States, we are the 50 state. And yes they travel back and forth for each game, though some exceptions are made when they have back to back road games. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pomaikaikeolahou (talkcontribs) 08:43, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Haka

[edit]

Was looking on You tube and have noticed that UH Warriors do a Haka. Was hopping for some more info on this as the actions, and most of the words, seem Maori (particularly close to the All Blacks Kapa o pango Haka of the All Blacks ). Could some one who knows a about this (ie more than me) please explain? I have done a quick google search and found very little. I know that Hawaiians do there own Haka as well and was intreated to know if the two like this through coincidence. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.130.68.95 (talkcontribs) 05:04, 4 January 2007 (UTC-8)

I'm certainly not an authority on the subject, but the videos I've seen have suggested that Hawai'i's Haka is indeed the Kapa o pango from the All Blacks. Here's a link with more: [1] JeffHCross (talk) 05:21, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article says that the 1912-1914 seasons were canceled due to WWI. I assume this must be an error, as WWI was between 1914 and 1918. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vonratt (talkcontribs) 06:29, 22 July 2007 (UTC-8)

Fair use rationale for Image:Hawaii OLD1.gif

[edit]

Image:Hawaii OLD1.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

 – images removed from this article as fair use couldn't apply. —Ashanda (talk) 01:11, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The image Image:BYUlogo.png is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

The following images also have this problem:

All-Time Team

[edit]

Is there any source for the All-Time team?? Is this from a newspaper or something? If the list is just the opinions of Wikipedia editors than it really doesn't belong on here at all as it qualifies as original research which is not allowed. This should be either cited or removed completely. Spanneraol (talk) 02:33, 16 May 2008 (UTC

13 games

[edit]

why does this article mention nothing about the fact that the NCAA allows teams that play Hawaii to play 13 games in a season? --134.126.76.123 (talk) 09:14, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Name Change

[edit]

The articles says the team's official name dropped the 'Rainbow' in 2001. The page is still entitled 'Rainbow Warriors', though, so when did they add the 'Rainbow' back? Or did they never add it back, and the new 'official' name just didn't catch on, despite still being the 'official' name? 2601:408:C407:32AB:F976:3035:A565:7006 (talk) 01:08, 7 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

In 2013, the decision was made to make all mens sports teams at the university use the "Rainbow Warriors" name. The article does mention this. [2]. Spanneraol (talk) 13:30, 7 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
