[edit]any haste the day fans out there?
- Well, there's me! ^.^ xcryoftheafflictedx 09:03, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
Heh, just found out about them because they are coming around my area on March 31 with BFMV, I listened to some of their songs, they're pretty cool.--71.49.208.21 00:07, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
- I'm addicted to this band. It's sad, I know. xcryoftheafflictedx 04:39, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
These guys are pretty amazing. Steve Keech is acctually my brother in law. I've know him since he was in 6th grade! Rockers360 03:54, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- Awesome, Steve rocks. I have two questions for everyone: 1) how do we know Haste is straight edge and 2) could their new material be considered metalcore/post-hardcore? Elsebroke 23:13, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- I think I stuck a comment on this before, but I can't remember my answer to question 1. Their new stuff is Metalcore... so was their old stuff, but more with a Screamo mix. IronCrow 03:45, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Wheneverythingfalls.jpg
[edit]Image:Wheneverythingfalls.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Trivia
[edit]I deleted this section and left an explanation in the summary. I am not sure if it is a joke or not. Possibly of of HTD's web page? Please cite before adding again.--Wick3dd (talk) 03:20, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
Devon, I read your edit summary. I am not trying to be a bitch here, but rules are rules. I do think those facts would be great in the trivia, but could you add them on your official webpage or something? That way you could put cite them properly. Thanks. --Wick3dd (talk) 23:30, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
NPOV
[edit]A large number of edits to this page are attributed to Devinchaulk, who appears to be a member of this band.
--Jdeboer (talk) 18:15, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
I'd be willing to bet that Devinchaulk is not actually Devin Chaulk of the band. If so, then those edits should definitely be reviewed. I'd also like to hear what people have to say about the sentence which discusses one of the band members leaving and goes on to say "...after which the band should have changed it's name." (or something to that effect). I'm not sure, but I don't think that there is some rule or law which states that a band must change its name when only one member is an original member. Actually, I'm just going to make the change now. Hr.VankerTalkContrib 07:09, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Just so nobody removes Christian hardcore again
[edit]Nobody should because their songs like Stitches and Long way down and others have some Punk elements when their not screaming which reffers to Hardcore punk and Christian hardcore is a Christian version of that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.161.136.222 (talk) 03:26, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
One or two punky songs doesn't make them hardcore.Inhumer (talk) 10:12, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
But its not just those. those are just the ones I listed and I'll be back to list more in a sec. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.161.136.222 (talk) 17:06, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Ok, Here's the whole list of "punky" songs in their latest album. 1.The Minor prophets 2.Janet's planet 3. Seven ties 4.Stitches 5.Alkadem
Now that's more than a third of the songs in their latest album so that's a pretty good reason to add the Genre back. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.161.136.222 (talk) 17:19, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
5 out 0f almost 50 songs doen't seem like enough for me.Inhumer (talk) 23:42, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
But all these are from their new album and with their new lead singer so its just their new sound. And Long way down isn't from that album and its a punky song. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.161.136.222 (talk) 13:24, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
I'm sorry but "punky" come on. If anything just say Punk rock. First off punk 80% to 90% of the time dosen't have screaming in their songs. Those song still have Screaming in them. Their just Post hardcore songs. Their more like on the stlye of A Day To Remember. Unless they sound "punky" also. But no this band is not "punky" at all.Skateremorocker (talk) 15:59, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
I belive its not punky.I was just using the word that one guy did. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.169.88.195 (talk) 20:59, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
Why remove christian
[edit]Who's "bright" idea was it to remove christian metalcore and christian hardcore from the genre's?And to make things even dumber you're not calling them a christian metal band which they so obviously are.I'm changing it back unless someone has a valid reason why they aren't christian. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.29.151.200 (talk) 03:47, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Ok now its just anoying!Who ever is removing christian metal and christian hardcore better stop unless somone knows how to block that guy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.121.44.105 (talk) 16:58, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
- No one is removing their "christian" faith, you can still read that on the article. But, the infobox is place to put a band's musical genre. A faith is not a genre. "Christian metalcore" is not a proper genre, metalcore is. Same goes with christian hardcore. and do not try to replace it, it will be reverted quickly. If you disagree, read this and this Template:Infobox_Musical_artist#Genre "The genre or genres of music performed by the act. Aim for generality." --Kmaster (talk) 17:52, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
That is wrong.Christian music is a genre and the opinion of one person doesn't change that.Faith it not a genre but there are faith baised genre's.And they are a faith baised band with christian lyrics.I've never even heard a song by them without christian lyrics. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.121.44.105 (talk) 21:14, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
- Hm, seems like you didn't read this and this Template:Infobox_Musical_artist#Genre. Here are more examples.
- --Kmaster (talk) 21:57, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
But those are bands who choose to not to express there faith in music.Haste the day does that and I could name all the christian songs in the latest album that are christian to proov it.Are you actually saying there aren't any christian metal bands? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.119.75.143 (talk) 01:39, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
You know how stupid it sounds saying HTD isn't a christian metal band?Well It sounds really stupid and it is ruining the reliability of this artical. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.119.75.143 (talk) 20:33, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
Here Is the proof that christian hardcore is a genre and here Is the proof that christian metal is a genre.I think you don't know what your talking about. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.119.75.143 (talk) 20:38, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
Besides, I don't see any proof that there not christian. And what do you call a christian metal band with christian lyrics? That would be a Christian metal band.Get your facts straight. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.121.51.138 (talk) 18:20, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
- Doesn't matter, I have never said they were not christian, and Christian metalcore/hardcore is not a genre, learn to read, end of histoty. --Kmaster (talk) 19:18, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
Whatever. But that's why we keep the list as is but add Christian metal Cause that is a genre. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.121.51.138 (talk) 00:15, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
And here is a list of Christian metal bands to prove that it is a genre.
I don't even understand how somone could actually think HTD is not a Christian metal band. Its just a really stupid idea.Seriously. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.121.51.138 (talk) 15:42, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
- Stop reverting this. Not because you think they play "Christian metal" they do. You need references for controversial subjects. And if you keep doing this may get blocked. --Kmaster (talk) 17:46, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
But everyone else says there Christian metal and you're the only one who says they aren't.So why do we need a refrence when we already know what's obvious. But I'll try to get a ref saying christian metal and I wont change it back till then. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.121.51.138 (talk) 19:51, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
HOORA!I got a ref saying they are christian metal![1] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.121.51.138 (talk) 20:11, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
WHAT THE HECK!You asked for a ref and I got one.Why change it back again? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.121.51.138 (talk) 01:09, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
- The word Christian is not in that article. Landon1980 (talk) 11:39, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
Yeah it was,til somone removed it after I sorced it.It said Metalcore,Post hardcore and Christian metal which was sorced and somone removed it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.121.51.138 (talk) 19:32, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
And if you where refering to all music,Christian metal was in there under the thing that said Styles which told what mix of gernre's they put into there music.Learn to read. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.121.51.138 (talk) 19:36, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
Oh wait,Somthing messed up and when I go to the haste the day artical and copy the link it acts stupid and takes you to the home page. But if you go to all music and look up haste the day it does say Christian metal and you can look it up cause its there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.121.51.138 (talk) 19:44, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
Ok, I think this one will actually work. And it says christian metal and christian metalcore.[2] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.121.51.138 (talk) 19:49, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
You will need something other than allmusic, they are notoriously unreliable. Also you will need a review, not some database listing 1 genre with 5 styles. Also see WP:CIVIL, WP:NPA, and WP:RS before continuing. Landon1980 (talk) 03:57, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
You know what I think.I think your just saying that cause for some stupid reason you don't want it to say christian, And I think your just changing it back because you want to get your way.I think your just being childish. I think you also just refuse to be wrong.
And Hard music is a christian site and those never say Christian metal because smart people already know they are. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.121.51.138 (talk) 05:00, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
You need to assume good faith when you can. I only have the best interest of the article in mind. I set my personal opinions and views aside while editing. I neither know nor care if this band's genre is Christian, but I do know that before it is added it must be properly sourced. Even if you do find a reliable source you still will not be able to put it in the lead sentence. Landon1980 (talk) 16:06, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
Whatever. You know, wikipedia is already well known for being unreliable and I can clearly see why.I'm done with wikipedia cause its going to be unreliable no matter how many people try to make it better.Cause somone will always do somthing stupid to make it bad again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.121.51.138 (talk) 21:49, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
Well, disregarding the actual genre of their music being Christian or not, it's important to include the fact that they are indeed based off of Christianity. The band broadcasts it, reviewers report it...it's in their lyrics to spread the word of Christianity. That's why I've placed a proper reference to their Christian roots in the foremost description with this reference cited. From this reference, this quote openly shows that they are a Christian band. "We would call ourselves a Christian band and for that reason, we felt we couldn't have someone in the band who didn't agree with the band's foundational drive." Whether their actual genre is Christian or not is an entirely different topic, but to totally leave out their Christian elements is both ignorant and, quite frankly, idiotic. So maybe that's what a few people on this board have been trying to say, but nevertheless, Christianity is well worth including in this article. --67.191.255.115 (talk) 01:14, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
Now this guy knows what he's talkin about. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.195.218.180 (talk) 03:26, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
Alright, I'm going to re-add christian hardcore to the genre. After reading the infobox template which states "Aim for generality (e.g. Hip hop rather than East Coast hip hop)." I feel that calling it christian hardcore is not too terribly specific. East Coast hip hop is specific because it is limiting the scope to a relatively small geographical area. However, Christianity does not. It does however, refer to a worldwide group of people with the same or similar beliefs. There is a page for christian hardcore, so if it were not a proper genre why hasn't somebody deleted it? The christian hardcore page is also part of several WikiProjects (including: Music and Metal). And finally, because in my musical experience, it is expected that hardcore rock/metal will deal with certain issues (death and pain being two, but not all), so if there is a similar style that deals with positive and encouraging subject matters, then why can that not be expressed as a sub-genre?
I will make the change on the 3/3/2010. Any arguments should be made before then. Hr.VankerTalkContrib 17:34, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
