[edit]I went to Harvard Summer School throught the Secondary School Program, which I think half this article is talking about, and while a lot of this information may be true, I don't think it can be verified. The part:
"For many students, this is merely an opportunity to spend the summer in Boston. For this majority group, the summer program is another camp experience, albeit with much less supervision and an occassional homework assignment or exam."
is pretty accurate, but I wouldn't say a majority and I doubt that a citation exists to back this up.
Also: "For the student whose focus is academics, the summer program does offer some challenging courses. Upper-level biology, chemistry, and math courses are notoriously difficult."
Again, it may be true, but who says these specific courses are more difficult than others? This is mostly an opinion.
The parts after this (housing, drug policy, etc.) probably can be referenced to the SSP website too.
I don't really edit wikipedia (besides talk pages) but it seems like the section dealing with high school students should be put on a Harvard Secondary School Program page because that's what it's talking about, not the summer school program which isn't for high schoolers.

I would have to agree with you about the homework part, you are given a chance to excel or not excel some kids will take advantage of this opportunity to learn at one of the worlds finest universities, but the wasteful and lazy student will just see it as a time away from home, supervision, and guidance. -- HSSP '06
Content
[edit]Much of the content in "Adademics" and "Campus Life" appears to be entirely based on opinion and personal experience. While these observations may be true for the author, they may not represent an accurate picture of the program as a whole. I suggest the original author, or someone with a greater knowledge of the program, find a source to back up those statements, or they must be re-written.
Additionally, I would imagine there must be more information available on the extracurricular activities available to students, work product that is notable, alumni, the admissions process, etc. There are many ways in which to improve this article and bring it to the next level. --Sententia 08:50, 1 December 2007 (UTC) --HSSP '02
