[edit]Reasoner on Air
Reasoner - Walters
[edit]It's sorta true they totally disliked each other but I think it unfairly presents the actual cause. It was Reasoner being unable to accept a woman competitor that soured the relationship. In reaction to that maybe then Walters disliked him, but I think that is lost as the section is currently written. A case could also be made, which I won't make, is that at the time Walters may not have been regarded in the industry as a journalist's journalist. While that would be totally off the mark considering the career she has had since the days of ABC Evening News, she may have come onto the Evening News without the experience the other correspondant's brought from war reporting days. comment?Kyle Andrew Brown 06:40, 13 August 2005 (UTC)

Barbara Walters was not a serious journalist, never was. She had gotten famous doing interviews with celebrities. Had Reasoner been paired with a serious female journalist of that era -- Pia Lindstrom, for example, or Norma Quarles or Nancy Dickerson -- the result might have been different. 68.196.1.236 (talk) 03:23, 30 September 2020 (UTC)captcrisis
Fair use rationale for Image:Harryreasoner1974abc.jpg
[edit]Image:Harryreasoner1974abc.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Fake middle name?
[edit]None of the online sources (except for the NYT, which I can't check as it's paywalled) mention his middle name or "Truman" at all. It appears it was added in 2011 by an IP. When I googled "Harry Truman Reasoner", all I could find were forks and mirrors and this Britannica Kids article, but...you know Britannica, it's entirely possible they read about the supposed middle name here. Thus, I have boldly purged all mention of this supposed middle name from the article. Heavy Water (talk) 04:31, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
