Trivia

I went ahead and deleted the trivia section, as there shouldn't be one in the first place, and the only thing mentioned in there was change from gray socks to black tights on the girls' school uniforms (which is completely irrelevant). Legendotphoenix 19:56, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

Can we add something about this

first off the fact that the song Boys Will Be Boys by The Ordinary Boys is used in the film which is the first time a modern song has been used in any of the films. the fact that hogwarts is portrayed as no having electricity. and how the story takes place in 1995 but the song is from 2005. possible as a goof or error in continuty --Jwein 23:47, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

Fan reaction

I'm taking out the fan reaction piece until someone does a better job writing it. There is no citation of displeasure from fans, except for the survey, which only has five signatures. That obviously doesn't represent a majority opinion. I'm heavily involved in Harry Potter fandom and this is only my reaction, but just about everyone I've spoken to has adored the film, especially the adaptation. If there is a universal love, hate, or mixed reaction to the film from fandom, the section should accurately cite sources from known and popular fansites. For example, Leaky Cauldron or Mugglenet. (I'm not affiliated with either, but they're examples.)

Cast

The Guy who played Walden Mcnair Peter Best is in this movie.

Tavistock Square=Headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix?

Is it just me, or did is the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix just right around the corner of the 2005 London Bombing in Tavistock Square? Im talking specifically about when the group emerged from the bushes and crossed the street infront of an apartment which revealed the headquarters. Im not really sure, but it looked like Tavistock Square to me. 64.229.193.210 05:49, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

As much as it may have looked like anything, I'm afraid we can't say this in the article. If you can find a reference for it though, we'd be happy to put it in! --Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c || 22:15, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Tavistock Square would be the Order headquarters as much as New Zealand is middle-earth and the Senedd is a laboratory - filming locations are there only to give a feel for the location (as NZ gives a Tolkein feel, Tavistock Square gives a London feel). Will (talk) 17:35, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Unrevealed Moments

Can someone explain: did Harry forgave the Cho? What was the vortex that devoured Sirius Black? And what's really happened to Dolores Umbridge?

Well, in the books Harry falls out with Cho over her friend telling Umbridge, but doesn't really mind that they've fallen out since he's over his crush for her, and has other things on his mind. The 'vortex' was a mysterious veil, possibly into the afterlife, although very little has been revealed about it so far. Dolores Umbridge was attacked by centaurs and rescued by Dumbledore, and returns to the ministry. How much of this is relevant to the films, I don't know. Certainly in the films, I gather it was Cho herself who told on the DA rather than her friend. (If you want more details, it might be better to ask on the Reference desks. Although asking questions about the subject of an article that are not covered by the article is an appropriate use of talk pages, general discussion is not and people differ in where they see the line between these two :)) Skittle 18:39, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Azkabhan

How exactly did she escape in the movie. That lightning. They never really fully explained that.

Error

I think I found an error. On page 91 of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, It says that he can still feel the scar "on the back of his right hand" from where he wrote, "I must not tell lies." However, in the movie I believe the scar appeared on his left hand as he was writing with his right. --AMF--

That's only an error if the films and the books are expected to agree. In the books, I thought it was strongly suggested the cuts appeared on the hand doing the writing. The films are free to decide which hand they use :) Skittle 17:48, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

Harry Potter cast

Hi, a member just destroy my contributions to the page of Harry Potter and the order of the phoenix (movie). I understand that you do not approuve imdb for the cast but I think that eyes can read the cast at the end of the movie.... Should I have to download an illegal torrent to proove that i was right with the informations I add (correctly with standards) the 21 of july ?

I've responded to these concerns on the user's talk page. --Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c || 04:04, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
Concerning the credits, there is many (unfortunatly) torrents sites that gives the movie (including credits) if somes peoples need prooves concerning the cast (for example, http://www.mininova.org/search/?search=harry+potter+and+the+order+of+the+phoenix). Actually, many names on this site appear differently in the credits of the film (an I am not talking on imdb). Concerning imdb, actually Jessica Stevenson is not credit but she appear in the credits (as Jessica Stevenson not Jessica Hynes) at the end of the movie. She is the only person who in the cast that we can't find in the imdb site.

Theatrical cut

I recall reading somewhere that the theatrical cut dropped about 45 minutes of what was filmed for the film. Can we substantiate this and include it in the article? It seems fairly noteworthy to me, but I'm not going to add it without a source. Personally, I hope that we actually see that 45 minutes on the DVD release if it exists.
