Harry Allan (footballer, born unknown) → Harry Allan (footballer) – There aren't any other footballers called Harry Allan. Jmorrison230582 (talk) 07:41, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
- Support per nomination. Appears to be an uncontroversial technical request. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 09:56, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose. Ambiguous with Harry Allan (rugby union). Why not use Harry Allan (Scottish footballer)? Jenks24 (talk) 11:11, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
- Rugby footballers and association footballers aren't ambiguous with each other. See WP:NCSP. 162 etc. (talk) 17:32, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
- Where does it say that? Rugby is a type of football. Jenks24 (talk) 11:32, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- "If a sportsperson in any form of rugby football—rugby league, rugby union, or beach rugby—is not a primary topic of all people with a similar name, use (rugby), (rugby player), (rugby union), (rugby league), or (beach rugby)." Note that (footballer) is not used. 162 etc. (talk) 16:56, 15 November 2023 (UTC)
- Just because footballer is not the preferred dab for rugby players on Wikipedia does not mean that they are never known as footballers. Jenks24 (talk) 11:14, 16 November 2023 (UTC)

- Support. "Born unknown" doesn't really help to identify him (aren't we all born unknown?). Just add a hatnote to Henry Allan (footballer) (nicknamed Harry, and also Scottish) and maybe Harry Allan (rugby union). These are all lightly viewed articles. Station1 (talk) 18:25, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
- Support per above, hatnotes can be used. DankJae 03:10, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
- Support per WP:NCSP.--Ortizesp (talk) 04:07, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
- Support per nom. Rugby players are not known as footballers, even though rugby is officially called rugby football. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:26, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
