From the description, this game seems to have a remarkable resemblance to "Capture the flag" as well. Could this be mentioned in the article in conjunction with its similarities to American football / rugby? Tbonepower07 19:02, 16 June 2007 (UTC) Tbonepowe07

Puts Grave Doubt that Soccer Football is the Ancestor of Rugy and thus US Football
[edit]I have seen elsewhere that this game was taken to Britain by the Romans. While kicking games of even greater age are known from the far east, this game involved grabbing the ball and not much kicking, if any. This means that Rugby is probably ancestral to, or at least older than, soccer football and that soccer has no claim to being the oldest of the football games. It also puts paid to the idea that a student at Rugby school originated the idea of picking the ball up and running with it. 2602:306:33A6:14E0:EC3E:E5D7:782F:E280 (talk) 22:02, 5 May 2017 (UTC)Will in New Haven2602:306:33A6:14E0:EC3E:E5D7:782F:E280 (talk) 22:02, 5 May 2017 (UTC)
