Minnesota Music Hall of Fame
[edit]Apparently there's some disagreement between several parties on whether the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame is an appropriate external link or not. I just wanted to say I'm a neutral party in this matter, and I'll neither add it or delete it from the article. - Itsfullofstars 21:22, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
My Two Cents
[edit]My vote would be to leave it. Being from New Ulm the museum has a whole section on Harold and The Six Fat Dutchmen. They want to expand the web page for the museum and give some history on each Hall of Famer. I think the Hall of Fame and Harold are linked and this will be a good source of more information on him as the web site grows.
My edits
[edit]Until a couple of days ago I had never heard of the Six Fat Dutchmen or Harold Loeffelmacher, and I personally don't have a taste for polka music either, but expanding this article and a couple of others related to the genre was an interesting experience. Picking up some knowledge in a subject one is otherwise unfamiliar is a good reason to be here on Wikipedia. I'm pretty sure I'm going to leave further expansion of this article to others, but I'll keep it in my watchlist. Cheers - Itsfullofstars 09:08, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
Polka Hall of Fame
[edit]Someone went around to all the places were the Polka Hall of Fame was linked and removed them. I have no idea why. It seems very reasonable a Polka Hall of Fame Link would be appropriate here. Harold Loeffelmacher was inducted into the hall of fame and the museum has a whole section on him. I vote to leave it in!
Fair use rationale for Image:Harold alone.jpg
[edit]Image:Harold alone.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
