Scope too narrow

This article is greatly in need of expansion. In its present form, it reads as though harmonisation dawned in and on the European Union. Fact is, harmonisation is a global phenomenon in laws and, especially, regulations governing technology, agriculture, medicine, food, commerce, and trade. —Scheinwerfermann T·C03:05, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
