Calculations
[edit]There is a calculation of displacement on the page. I see two problems with it.
- We start with measurements of bore & stroke of three significant figures (3.75 in & 4.00 in, 100th-of-a-inch i.e. ~quarter millimetre precision is dubious to start with) and we wind up with five sig figs (88.357 cu in precise to the nearest thousandth of a cubic inch or 16 microlitres). Are these mathematically perfect cylinders, no, they're motorbike cylinders. This is false precision.
- A volume-of-a-cylinder calculation seems unnecessary anyway.
Just state that a bore of 3+3⁄4 in (95 mm) and a stroke of 4 in (100 mm) gives a displacement of about 88 cubic inches (1450 cc). JIMp talk·cont 07:05, 12 March 2012 (UTC)
Number of Valves
[edit]The number of valves is one of the most basic descriptions of any engine, but is not included in this article. Should be updated.

This page doesn't have a table for specifications
[edit]This engine is listed as a predecessor on https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harley-Davidson_Milwaukee-Eight_engine But doesn't include a similar table with a predecessor or successor a long with various other facts. 2601:98A:A01:2F80:1D41:8827:4377:4678 (talk) 02:38, 16 February 2023 (UTC)

- The balanced one for softtails? I believe it was 2001. But I can't find a source on this. I know it didn't come out the same year as the TC88 though. War (talk) 06:43, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
