Concerned about accuracy of article and citations
[edit]I am new here and am not sure as to how I go about actioning the required changes. The first citation is to the following website http://www.lohanatimes.org/history.asp - this link is no longer active. I have however visited the page using the Wayback Machine and read the original page. There is also no reference in the article asserting that 'Jasraj' is worshipped as Kuldevta.Interestingly, as is often the case with websites such as this there seems to be no basis in actual fact for the assertions made on the page. However considering the nature of the topic, I will not dwell on the point.
The second citation used as a reference point for 'Harkor' being regarded as Kuldevi and 'Jasraj' being regarded as Kuldevta, makes no mention of her. There is also no reference in the article asserting that 'Jasraj' is worshipped as Kuldevta.
The only reference to 'Harkor' being a Kuldevi is in the first citation where she is referred to as follows: "Harkor is respected and taken as ‘Kuldevi’ or the mother of the clan by the Pobaru Khatris." This however has been incorrectly cited and the article itself needs to accurately reflect its sources - or provide alternative points of reference where a comparative approach is taken. The article currently states that she is the Kuldevi of Bhanushalis and Lohanas, this needs to be rectified.
Having searched through the internet for further information about the subject I have only been able to find sources that draw their information from current or previous versions of this article and the article pertaining to 'Dada Jasraj'. I have reviewed the sources cited in the latter article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dada_Jasraj) in some detail, neither source has supporting evidence for the assertion that either individual is a Kuldevi or Kuldevta for either group of people mentioned in this article. Source 1 makes no mention of either individual being worshipped, whether as Kuldevta, Kuldevti or otherwise. Source 2 in the Jasraj article (and yes I can read French) makes no mention of worship by the groups mentioned as a whole and makes only a passing reference to the bygone practices of the Kutchi Lohanas for which I have been unable to find another point of reference.
