Start at PBS
[edit]I removed
- correspondent for PBS NewsHour. Sreenivasan joined, on December 7, 2009 when that program changed its name from The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer.
(and moved its ref http://www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown/2009/12/what-is-the-rundown.html).
This expresses poorly the situation, which is that on November 23 PBS announced his hiring, on Dec 3 they published his first blog on their behalf and released a 1-minute video of him (with the show's new set in the background), and on Dec. 7, his first on-the-air appearance for them coincided with breaking in the show's 5th title. If it were known that there was a strategic reason for the Dec. 7 events coinciding (BTW, it's also Pearl Harbor Day, it could be interesting. I'm not sure whether it was worded that way bcz of some kind of loss of focus by an editor ("There's more info with the exact date than without!"?), or to loosely suggest a inference that the coincid-ence was evidence of the value placed on his role (which could improve the article, if accompanied by what gave his role that value, and reliable verification of that value. In either case, it doesn't belong in the article at this time.
