history seem wrong??

[edit]

the first paragraph in history includes the sentence "It was the first school of higher education established in Texas west of fort Worth." But by the establishment of hardin simmons in 1891, both Austin and San Antonio had established and running institutions of higher education. 199.129.147.4 (talk) 18:40, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Seems to have been added in this edit by an IP. University of San Antonio was 1894, so after (unless you meant another one in San Antonio). University of Texas at Austin was 1883, so before and on a map slightly west of Fort Worth. I will remove it, as it has no source and your reasoning is sound. Thanks for the enquiry. Anyone is free to add it back with a source. Commander Keane (talk) 05:38, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
