Steve Irwin To Get Reggie
[edit]I was watching The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on January 13, 2006. Leno and Crocidile Hunter Steve Irwin were talking about Reggie. Irwin possibly could apprehend the wiley reptile. However, it might not be right away because of a leg injury. --Bushido Hacks 05:46, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

Harbor City, Los Angeles, California → Harbor City, Los Angeles — Per naming conventions of neighborhoods in Chicago, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Cleveland, Detroit, &c (American cities who are notorious enough to not need the states in their names), and to make names shorter and more navigable (WP:COMMONNAME). There are four of these as it only allows me to request twenty pages at a time Purplebackpack89 (Notes Taken) (Locker) 19:25, 24 April 2010 (UTC)

- Those seem to be more about changing Hollywood, Los Angeles, California to Hollywood rather than Hollywood, Los Angeles Purplebackpack89 (Notes Taken) (Locker) 20:59, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
- Support Straight forward, and in line with what was recently agreed. Someone's working hard! There were arguments that Hollywood, Los Angeles, California was sufficiently well known to be the primary topic for Hollywood, but consensus was not reached. The arguments against moving to Hollywood, Los Angeles were that all Los Angeles neighbourhoods should be dealt with in the same way. That is what is now being proposed. Skinsmoke (talk) 14:50, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
- Non-support per Wikipedia:Naming conventions (geographic names)#United States the correct format for U. S. place names is city, state, with the county included if further disambiguation is needed. None of the above are notable enough to rate the single name designation. Vgranucci (talk) 15:59, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
- Neighborhoods don't apply to that. It says so right in your link. You seem to be confused about these being cities, not neighborhoods, both here and at Talk:Reseda, Los Angeles Purplebackpack89 (Notes Taken) (Locker) 21:46, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
- Non-support per comments above. --Moreau36 (talk) 17:13, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
- So, non-support because of a non-applicable guideline? Purplebackpack89 (Notes Taken) (Locker) 00:12, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
- Comment: There's now a central discussion at Talk:Los Angeles#Various move requests involving LA Neighborhoods. Let's proceed in a methodical way, since this change affects something like 100 articles. Will Beback talk 03:26, 28 April 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned references in Harbor City, Los Angeles
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Harbor City, Los Angeles's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "MappingLAHarbor":
- From San Pedro, Los Angeles: [1] "Harbor," Mapping L.A., Los Angeles Times
- From Los Angeles Harbor Region: [2] "Harbor Region," Mapping L.A., Los Angeles Times
I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 16:56, 26 May 2013 (UTC)
