Hannaford Brothers Company should be revised to be Hannaford Supermarkets, which is the d/b/a name.
The number of locations should be updated to 187 as of 2015.
The history should be revised to state that in 2014 Hannaford began offering Hannaford to Go, the first curbside pickup, online ordering supermarket in Maine and New Hampshire.
Following sentence is no longer accurate: "Until 2011 the company regularly marketed numerous products under its own private labels -- including products by Richelieu Foods. The company now uses the Delhaize standard Home 360 brand." Statement should be replaced with: "Private-label products include Taste of Inspirations, Nature's Place, Healthy Accents, and Hannaford brand products.
Additional information about Hannaford's environment & sustainability: In 2009, Hannaford opened a new supermarket in Augusta, Maine, that was the first to achieve a LEED-Platinum Green Rating. In 2013, the Turner, Maine, Hannaford was awarded the "Best of the Best" Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's GreenChill Partnership. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SarahBianca (talk • contribs) 21:36, 23 November 2015 (UTC)
Citations are needed for the criticism's page. I know the incident regarding the Gardiner man is true, but I haven't spent the time searching for an article. Bladerunner 2019 03:02, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
Um, why is the location of this company's headquarters listed as a criticism? I mean Scarborough isn't all that bad. :)
Community Involvement section needs work, it reads as though it was written by the front office of the company, going so far as to include the word 'our'. Charitable involvement is important, but someone add it other than the Hannaford company, please. Pmo22 03:04, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
I am curious...is this page really still a stub. I mean a stub is defined as a few sentences. I have given a fair amount of history and background. I am curious if the page should be given a different status is all.Bladerunner 2019 (talk) 15:47, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
Formally known as Shop and Save...
[edit]I removed this bit because it's not correct. In addition to the Shop and Save banner, the company has operated stores under the Sampsons and Martin's banners. In addition I believe the independents that it still wholesales to, those stores still use the Shop and Save banner. This just needs to be worded better. --168.215.131.150 (talk) 23:21, 25 June 2012 (UTC)
Sweetbay still sells Hannaford
[edit]I was surprised to that Sweetbay offered Hannaford products "until 2011", since I saw Hannaford products in Sweetbay yesterday. I can't use that of course -- original research -- so I linked to the Sweetbay FAQ, which discusses Hannaford brand products albeit without mentioning that Hannaford is another supermarket chain. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Paleolith (talk • contribs) 15:20, 15 April 2013 (UTC)

This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
- Add this
* [[Stop & Shop]], another [[Ahold Delhaize]]-owned grocery store which operates in New England.
While I am not being paid to request this edit, I do work for Stop & Shop as a cashier.

- I didn't want to add to the backlog, so I just responded to 9 or so edit requests to be a net positive there (98 down to 89). –MJL ‐Talk‐☖ 04:16, 7 September 2020 (UTC)

Freight
[edit]I live in a little town in aroostook county. Im sitting on my porch and noticed 3 Hannaford trucks go by within a hour and a half. Heres a thought put it all in one truck. Freight cost would go down and then you can bring down the price of groceries. 2603:7080:D13C:EE1D:8524:8EFE:6FEE:D62C (talk) 21:08, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
