Empty citations being re-added
[edit]@Mushy Yank: What's with your re-adding the empty cite, AFI Fest? The only content at that page is "No movie found.." Obviously, you can't use something like that to cite content. - CorbieVreccan ☊ ☼ 17:30, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
- Hello, As I said in reply to your template and message on my TP, no it didn't work and no I did not re-add it, I simply added it. But they are not empty citations, they're useful, reliable and were sourcing the material you removed. Here are the urlS:
- https://www.afi.com/news/native-american-heritage-month-viewing-guide/ to source the plot (which I had done despite guidelines indicating it is not necessary)
- https://fest.afi.com/2004/international-feature-competition-2004/hank-williams-first-nation/ to prove filming location
Feel free to try and insert them with the Citeweb template and see for yourself the result, if you have time. If you don't have time or interest, I might do it myself someday. Best, — MY, OH, MY! (mushy yank) — 19:49, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
- Clarification: In removing multiple citations that didn't source the content, I thought I had removed all cites to the empty AFI page and you were putting them back; I had actually left one in the infobox, but flagged it as not citing the content it was used for.[1] You didn't actually "re" add the citation, but you removed the "content not in source / failed verification" flag, and then used the failed citation twice in the article.[2] The links you just posted above are not what you used in the article. As to my tone, you came and removed the call for citations but have done some odd edits that didn't really meet the sourcing criteria. So if I sound terse, that's why. - CorbieVreccan ☊ ☼ 20:29, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
