I have serious doubts as to the notability of this subject. The great majority of the references point back to HOPI's website and the whole article looks like an ad. Bonewah (talk) 16:11, 4 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

HOPI is a notable group and has received coverage in the national press. See here: [1][2] --84.68.153.205 (talk) 13:11, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That guardian piece only mentions HOPI in passing so i dont think it counts as national coverage. I agree that the independent both covers HOPI in a non-trivial way and counts as a reliable source, but notability requires multiple independent sources, and the article in question is already used as a citation here. Bonewah (talk) 13:52, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well here's another article by Peter Tatchell about the campaign, [3] Also, the PCS, Britain's Civil Service union of 320,000, is affiliated to it. [4] --84.68.153.205 (talk) 14:15, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Peter Tatchell wrote both articles and, once again, HOPI is mentioned only in passing. The PCS also mentions HOPI only in passing and I would not call a labor union a reliable source for information on a political movement. Bonewah (talk) 20:04, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Boldly Sez I

[edit]

I've removed some of the more egregious polemical statements in this article, in an effort to return it to the verdent shores of neutrality. It read like it was written by the HOPI Central Committee. Crafty (talk) 08:49, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reliability of 'Comment is free' at the Guardian blog

[edit]

'Comment is free' is at least partially a blog,[5] and the author of the cited piece is "a human rights campaigner, and a member of the gay rights group OutRage! and the left wing of the Green party"[6] rather than a journalist. I'm therefore not sure if this piece can be considered a reliable source. HrafnTalkStalk(P) 15:32, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

On closer examination, it's only being cited as for the writer's own support, so can probably stand -- but the fact needs to be made clearer. HrafnTalkStalk(P) 15:40, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
