Americas qualification
[edit]@Raymarcbadz, Mijo34, Vin28rol, and Kante4: In the paragraph about the American qualification. It's written that the best team of the other sub-zone is allowed to participate at a Olympic Qualification Tournament. I didn't found a source which back this statement up.
Because if I read the official Manual. I understand that the best team of the Pan American Games will qualify directly to the Olympics and the second place is able to participate at the Olympic Qualification Tournament.
ln the case of the Continental Confederations of North America and the Caribbean and South and Central America, the ‘best continent’ positions will be allocated based on the ranking at the respective combined continental qualification event.
Example: Even though e.g. BRA (belonging to South and Central America) is the best team from North America and the Caribbean and South and Central America, the corresponding place to be allocated to the next highest ranked NOC at the combined continental qualification event might be allocated to e.g. CUB (belonging to North America and the Caribbean).
What is your take on this matter? 🤾♂️ Malo95 (talk) 08:40, 13 February 2023 (UTC)
So, why do they take Brazil and Cuba for example? Particularly, they emphasize that both teams belong to different subzones. Maybe the manual is not written as best explanatory, but I think that should be a point. Mijo34 (talk) 19:30, 13 February 2023 (UTC)
- I found an article from SCA Handball [1] it says that the runner-up is allowed to play the qualifiers. 🤾♂️ Malo95 (talk) 09:08, 4 March 2023 (UTC)
