Large expansion
[edit]A large amount of new content was added in this recent edit. Much of it was simply copy pasted from other articles. Should we revert it? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:18, 3 April 2013 (UTC)
Name
[edit]@Ab207 Can you verify? Is the The Hans India misspelled or yet another update? -- DaxServer (talk) 09:58, 15 August 2021 (UTC)
- @DaxServer: The Hans India got it right,
"Hanumakonda"
is the official spelling. Both the GO and the official website spell it Hanumakonda district. However, Hanamkonda is also used widely (Telangana Today, NIE etc). -- Ab207 (talk) 13:14, 15 August 2021 (UTC)- Ya, looks like so. The Hindu also uses Hanamkonda. -- DaxServer (talk) 14:18, 15 August 2021 (UTC)
- The Census 2011 also used Hanamkonda. Its an incorrect transliteration of the Telugu word హనుమకొండ, albiet a widely used one. -- Ab207 (talk) 14:30, 15 August 2021 (UTC)
- Perhaps this should be noted as the official name param in infobox and in lead, and move the infobox ref to prose? -- DaxServer (talk) 14:43, 15 August 2021 (UTC)
- Ahh you just put it 👍 -- DaxServer (talk) 14:45, 15 August 2021 (UTC)
